2019 Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough Vineyards

Several years ago, the Kim Crawford label got introduced in the U.S. wine market. Those initial offerings were “Spitfire” Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are located along New Zealand’s coastal range. Spitfire gave the full fruit up front; each glass held fun effervescent. The winemaker, Anthony Walkenhorst, won the New Zealand wine award for Spitfire. At some point-in-time, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc fell into the mix of other winemakers; the snap and fizz disappeared. Every bottle of K.C. Sauvignon Blanc is easy to drink. This ’19 is O.K. for leisure sipping, summer indulgence, or late night T.V. watching. Many restaurants include it in their wine list. To be honest, I miss the initial fermentation of Kim Crawford Spitfire.
