2016 Merlot Columbia Valley Winery

Their label catches America’s dramatic Washing State's Olympic mountains. An while holding the bottle, look for the four-point buck. It’s standing along that closest high ridge, and hiding near the fog bank. Any hunter would ask, “Do I want this trophy or hunt for another?”

My advice, take this one. Opening and tasting this Merlot, proved rewarding. This Washington State Merlot fit the here & now of a good experience, because the Umpqua Valley produces really good Merlot.

Although Columbia Winery, itself, is located near Seattle, the grapes are grown along the Columbia river near Yakama & Walla Wall. This ’16 attests the wine regions’ traditions. It yields layers of different nuances: dark cherry, dark chocolate, ripe plum and finishes smooth. The color is dark res, good legs, and a real cork.

It’s a drink it now, store in your cellar, or serve with dinner. This Columbia Valley Merlot is not a “shot in the dark.”
