2018 Oregon Riesling A to Z

It looked handcrafted on the shelf. The green bottle didn't have a paper label, It looked painted. A pastel of yellow flowers and a bee took shape from apparent brush strokes. The earth tone aluminum screw cap claimed it was the essence of Oregon.

It wasn't as sweet as I feared. The fruit forward sips seemed a little more pear than apple. The taste lingered and shifted to a floral scene.

The subtle balance blended flavors that were light and flirty. This wine is a playful wink instead of a passionate kiss. It is a small smile instead of a hearty laugh. It is a little bigger wine than the price tag.
