2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Griffin Creek Vineyard

Their signature label of an attacking griffin is attention getting, because a Griffin is a mythical creature. Its strong courageous linage goes back centuries. Naturally, it’s a terrible thing to have to drink a real Griffon Creek wine in the here-and-now! I really enjoy this Oregon vineyard. For nearly 3 decades of selecting, ordering & shipping their wines to Kansas City, I can always find exceptional wines in every bottle. Today, it’s their Cab. Sauv. for personal enjoyment. This '15 Griffin Creek keeps all those traditional aromas of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Their crushed grapes stew in French Oak barrels for only 20 months. If this grape is soaks too long in oak, its tannin would turn ferocious. But here those blackberry & cherry flavors come to the front. The color stays a rich, dark red with full legs. This is a wine you can store across decades, gift on special occasions, or serve at dinner. I simply poured & drank for pleasure.
