2014 Barolo Fontanafreddda Cellars

Wall paper, prison stripes, a subtle label? This bottle has the look of a good wine; a bottle worth choosing. It’s a Barolo mad e from Nebbiolo grapes grown in one of Italy’s great wine regions. And it was a good red wine choice. The nose is floral… light violet. Tasting very enjoyable with dark chocolate, cherry, licorice followed by cinnamon. There was the deep, dark cherry red color, and nice legs. The winemaker used a real cork stopper. Here’s an Italian wine you can pour at dinner: veal, beef, or a lasagna pasta dish.
