2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Raymond Vineyards

When an inexpensive wine tastes so good, understand the grape was manipulated. I expect exceptional experiences from Estate. Library, and Elite level wines. This Cab from Napa Valley was good, too. For $20 bucks, it was too good. First taste was plum, followed by black licorice. Going deeper, it has cinnamon with a slate finish. Here is a complex wine reasonably priced: a nice surprise. Isn’t that main reason we drink wine, for the enjoyment and pleasant surprises?
