2016 Viognier Yalumba Family Vineyards

I asked myself, “Self. What is a French Viognier grape doing in Australia?” Well, it got there in the 1980 for making wine. This ’16 Viognier is an authentic Viognier, and its well done. This wine carries that rich full body with fine legs. The nose is fruity of a ripe apricot. It has a golden color, similar to a Chardonnay… which it not.

Aussie’s like their screw top caps. So, this one has one. I’d recommend buying this Viognier to drink soon.
