2016 Pinot Blanc Trimbach Winery

This white wine from Alsace has character. Supposedly a dry white, but here’s a Pinot Blanc that’s fruity. It doesn’t serve berry, cherry, lilac, or pear. Its complexity has a mix of green apple, lemon, apricot, and slate. It gives a pale-yellow pour with skinny legs. Then ends with a light happy finish. Trimbach’s Pinot Blanc is an inexpensive, simply good white wine. It comes with the traditional taller Flute d’Alsace green bottle. The screw top allows for storage. This ’16 Pinot Blanc fits social and festive gatherings. It’s light enough to drink a lot of at friendly gossip sessions. I’ve bought a few bottles for our Spring and Summer sipping.
