2016 Saracosa Rosso di Toscana

Some wines form Tuscany could be served as desert wines. This red Italian blend would go well with warm chocolate cake with dark chocolate icing. And if you are a gourmet guy, it would work with your bologna-on-rye sandwich… But do not pare this Toscana with pear. One first taste, there is cherry with spice. Even later, things are nice: herbs, black tea with a smooth finish. Its nose is floral of linden flower. This red has strong legs, almost hairy, holding onto the glass. Too bad the winemaker stopped the bottle with a composition cork. The bottle’s design almost makes it a cult wine, but whole T-L-C presentation calls for “drink it now” and enjoy.
