2016 Sauvignon Blanc Craggy Range Vineyard

I enjoyed this white wine from New Zealand. New Zealand lies even further south in the Pacific than Australia. The kangaroo lives in Australia, while the carnivorous Tasmanian Devil lives in New Zealand. This shows that kangaroo doesn’t “Island hop”. That alone, makes me a bit suspicious about what goes into Australian wines.\ This New Zealander was a batch from the Haungarua River. It has a fruit-peachy nose. The legs cling to the side of the glass, and the wine is light golden in color. Of course, more tasting gave up kiwi, grapefruit, and a light oaky tannin finish. I would say this Sauvignon Blanc is the first cousin to Chardonnay. Drink it now with its screw top. Recommended for summer time relaxing; match with shrimp scampi, chicken lemonato or salads.
