2016 Il Bruciato Antinori Winery

This is more about which wine with dinner, than a wine. We drove to our favorite Kansas City Italian Restaurant, Garozzo’s, for dinner. We were seated at our favorite table. And as usual, we immediately ordered a bottle of red from their wine list. We tasted liked & began drinking. This wine was from Antonori winery, Italy. It was a mellow red with round tannin, black berry & chocolate. Then, we ordered some very fine Italian dinners, except each of us ordered white meat dishes: chicken, fish & shrimp. Most often, we order meats in red sauces. This evening, the sauces were white wine, lemon butter & garlic or a white sauce with garlic. The food was great, fun and plentiful. The wine was good and very much a rich red. The lesson we learned was to place the food order before the wine order. My only complaint is that we got full before we could correct this minor infraction.
