2019 Pinot Gris Ponzi Vineyards
Ponzi Vineyards is one of Willamette Valley’s older vineyards. It acreage lies in the northern part of the valley, just outside Portland. A buyer can feel confident with Ponzi vineyards.
Their Pinot Gris does have a good TASTE=3. The nose is fruity golden delicious apple. In tasting, there is an abundance of apple, some pear, and smooth Kiwi finish. Here is an enjoyable light white wine. Pour yourself a glass to enjoy in the here & now; pour a glass on a warm summer evening; pour a glass during relaxing table talk.
It has a LOOK=3 of a Pinot Gris. It comes in a lighter brown bottle with a screw top. & the screw top fits this white wine, which is a “drink it now” wine. It isn’t intended for cellaring. This Pinot could be paired with light meals & cheeses.
The label is quite clear for what a buyer will receive, as well as where the grapes were grown. The pour yields a pristine clear wine that has skinny legs.
Plus, it’s very affordable COST=1. Ponzi produces several more expensive wines, but their ’19 Pinot Gris is targeting everyday consumption.
