2019 Dry Rose Seven Hills Winery
Unlike contact sports like football, Hockey or boxing, wine tasting isn’t that dangerous. Most often, sipping, tasting or chewing wine is pleasureful. Along the way, a taster will uncover surprises. This bottle of Dry Rose got my attention without being knocked over or punched.
Usually, a rose is a blend of red grapes, such as Grenache, Syrah, or Pinot noir, or any red grape in the region will do. But the winemaker produced this wine primarily from only “Cabernet-Franc” grapes.
The win is too smooth: E-Z to sip, E-Z to pour another glass. It has a full blush hint of red; the bottle is clear glass for a naked content view. it has the complete taste of fruit, critics, and herbs. There is a twist-off cap and a moderate price of less than $20.
This becomes another of those summer sipping wine; a light drink before dinner. Or it lets conversations run without interruption. This Walla Walla Dry Rose is a “drink it now” wine, and always served chilled.
