2016 Pinot Grigio Santa Margherita Wines

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is an old standby from Italy. The 2016 is pretty much the same as their ’15, which is very much the same as their ’14. Yep, a buyer knows what’s inside their bottle before pulling the cork. Whenever we are at dinner, and want an inexpensive, reliable light white wine, this is it. Those winemakers at Santa Margherita which ingredients to mix into Pinot Gris grapes for this flavor. That’s darn good marketing, because the company has captures a solid market share. This ’16 gives the usual fruity nose, a pear tasting, and then light tannin.
