2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Marilyn Wines

There was Marilyn Monroe standing there; she was bottles and tucked into a box. Now, what guy is NOT going to reach out for her? After all, she was the first model to appear in Hugh Heffner’s Play Boy Magazine. Marilyn was Hollywood’s most famous female actress and sex symbol in the 1950’s. Her nude photograph is taken from her shoot with photographer, Tom Kelly, in 1949. It’s the famous pose No.8. Laying on red velvet, Marilyn does not look at you, because you can only stare. This bottle is from the 2007 velvet collection. Its label has a special kiss to peal off a slight covering, which exposes the nude pose of No.8. We really don’t exactly which vineyard made this Cabernet Sauvignon, other than Marilyn Wines. Unlike so many other artist labels, this wine is very drinkable. Its nose is earthy; fresh cut wood. The color is deep burgundy with nice legs. | (…wouldn’t expect other than that from a Marilyn?) Later tatsings has cherry, slate, milk chocolate with a thin tannin finish. Here was another surprise: 11 years later, there wasn’t any corkage! The vintner used a real cork, which preserved the wine as well as allowing aging….Nice.
