2014 Cabernet Sauvignon blend Peirano Estate

I got this bottle off its shelf, because of its label, and its title. It had an etching of a female figure called “The Other”. Its back-side label verified it was a Lodi, CA wine. Knowing Lodi, CA produces good Zinfandel, I bought this red blend. Now, Louis Icart was famous for his etchings of the female figure. Find Le Couder, La Grenade, Nuit Espanole, and other great’s. The etching on this bottle made the sale. The wine is an estate blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. Note: A Cab. Sav. + Merlot combo is not one of my favorite, which is a Cab-Franc. This red wine is good, a hearty red. Its nose is earthy. First taste is currant, and then pomegranate. Strong legs cling to the glass. Tannin is very forward with a long dry finish. There is a genuine cork, which allows for lengthy shelf storage. For those who prefer stout figures, “The Other” matches your favorite desires. Drink it now, store some, or service while dining on beef, lamb or sweetbreads.
