2015 Pinot Blanc Willamette Valley Vineyards

It’s summer time, again. The season for shift toward more white wines: Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, etc. (Notice the photo is of an empty bottle. We served chilled at 61°.) We retreated to our back deck with this ’15 Pinot Blanc, where evening temps hovered in the mid 70’s. We sipped & enjoyed our summer wine, watching those darn deer ate our plants. Add this Pinot Blanc to your summer wine list; you’ll like it. I did from the first pour, because of the clean, clear light golden color. Tasting began as rip apple followed by lemon. As evening progressed, it developed other nuances. It has good legs; the finish is smooth without tannin, and probably rhubarb.
