2013 Cabernet-Franc Griffin Creek Vineyards

Every horse running in the Kentucky Derby is a thoroughbred, but not every racehorse in the Derby is a winner. Griffin-Creek vineyards consistently produce highly rated cab-franc’s: 2010 was unbelievably great& I only have one bottle on the shelf; 2012 was fine. Unfortunately, ’13 didn’t make it out of the gate. The color, legs, bottle were good. It was the taste, which way off. This ’13 vintage neither tasted like a Cabernet, nor their savory of cab-franc… I have high hopes for their 2015!
