2015 Vintage 42 Chardonnay Willamette Valley Vineyard

Tualatin Estate Vineyard is producing a new Chardonnay. Of course, trying their new production was a must! … & if this Chard was as good as their Estate Pinot Noir, it would be really good. This “42” is an outstanding Chardonnay. If the big rating boys gave the/15 a number, it would be over 90 points. The nose is a floral/ honeysuckle. The color is a clear, light golden yellow. First taste has that distinctive Chard taste. The other complexities move forward, but it doesn’t have a heavy wine or oaky feel; 42 is no light weight. In the 1990’s, I started a search for good, well-rounded Chars. I found two California vineyards I always bought. This Chard bests these. 42 is a buy it now, drink it now, or store several in your cellar, because this winemaker bottled with high quality, genuine corks.
