2012 Gattinana Travaglini Vineyard

We enjoyed this red wine from Italy, while dining in our favorite Kansas City Italian Restaurant. It proved a lighter red than other Italian reds but fit well with dinner. We simply poured the wine and ate, like we were supposed to do. The color was a light, rather than those dense red. Its nose was floral but tasting began with light cherry. There were spices followed by a very smooth finish. Dining here is casual and entertaining. Even our wine came in a provincial bottle: Cote De Provence… neat, huh?
