2014 Chardonnay Chalk Hill Estates
Chardonnay was the first white wine where I got serious. This Sonoma County Chard is a serious one, and it has a full body. I served at 63 degrees, but recommend this one at a more chilled temp. The nose is fruity, ripe dandelion, which matches its fine light-yellow color…. O.K. it does have weak legs but is bottled with a genuine cork. In tasting/drinking, its bright apple, pear along with lemon jump up front. More sampling, sipping and drinking has minerals with a sandalwood finish. The pour looks true Chard. Here’s on that is too drink now or serve at dinner. Store it or gift it. All is good.
