2015 Merlot Francis Ford Coppola

The guy made really good movies, but his Merlot is far less dramatic. It has good legs, and a fine deep, dark red color at first pour; the nose is “earthy”. This Merlot’s theme is Wizard of Oz. Dorothy, Tin Man, et al emerge from their forest walking into some futuristic city. The wine maker/director his theme will have us coming back for more. But the strawman wins with this Merlot - - flat and dry. In my beginning searches, there were better Merlots to be buy. This one is buy it, drink it, and then forget it.
