2014 Red Blend: Hot to Trot 14 Hands Winery

14 Hands is from one my favorite West Coast wine producing areas: Yakama Valley, Washington. Their 2014 “hot to trot” red blend beats expectations. The nose is musty, fruity raisins. The pour shows a rich, dark red that has heavy legs. Plus, it comes with a genuine cork for keeping in your cellar. The first tasting gave multiple layers of currants, dark cherry and plumb. These rich fruity nuances remained throughout. This red blend finished smooth, light tannin, and in plumb. (One special note about our Dashboard application: we encourage personal visual for each bottle. 14 Hands has an eye-catching label. It is from a painting with a pair of horses: purple dapple and red roan. Then, add in a genuine cork, legs, & color for a “Look” rating appeal of #3.)
