2016 Malbec - Reserve Bodega Winery
Generally, high altitude Malbec from Argentina are quite good. I was looking forward to this Malbec- Reserve, Piechra Negra. The first disappointment came while uncorking the bottle - - - a composition cork. At first pour, the nose was damp hay/straw. First taste was good: grape and tobacco. After breathing, the Malbec grape came through. But the finish was dry with heavy tannin. A fine deep red color, legs, and the label presentation looked good.
