2011 Valpolicella Ripasso Cantine- Buglioni Winery
At dinner, I ordered this Valpolicella from the restaurant wine list. Garozzo’s is one of Kansas City’s best places for Italian villa fare and their wines from Italy never disappoint. And this IL Burgiardo was quite good. The nose began fruity, which turned out to be plumb. As we drank more, currant appeared along with cocoa. Each glass finished smooth with light tannin. It was a good pairing with our dinners. The winemaker used a genuine cork; nice. And it had a dark red color accompanied with long legs curling the wine glass.
