2016 “Spitfire” Sauvignon Blanc Kim Crawford Winery

Well, I found another white wine from Kim Crawford winery: Sauvignon blanc. The darn wine certainly Sauvignon blanc… nice with a great body: a wine that pours with a very light-yellow tint. The nose smells like a S/B should with a hint of floral honeysuckle. And, you’ll like the mild no-oaky light lemon finish. I enjoyed the straight-ahead wine without lots of complexity. The mellow finish was easy to take. The winery uses screw tops, and there seemed to be a problem with having a screw top. Once it is opened, the bottle could not be laid flat; the top leaked out my wine! … but, “What the Hey”. Who puts a nice wine back for a later day?... nicely priced; seems to ready available; serve often. Serve it at home; serve it to friends, plus enemies would stop for a chat over a glass. rating: 90
