2017 Valpolicella Tommast Family Estates
To enjoy this Italian red wine, you need to drink it. Sitting by its lonely self in the dark brown bottle isn’t a lot of fun. What makes it interesting tasting is the Valpolicella region’s application. The winemaker gets to blend 4 of its best-known red varietal.: Corinna, Corvina, Rodinella, and Molinara. Then, the devil takes the dare.
Taste=2: First taste was heavy and red fruit. It has legs that hold. More tasting uncovers dark raisins, cherry, and it has a cedar tannin finish.
Looks=3: It looks as good as the taste. Color pours a deep, clear purple. There is a real cork that goes with the DOC markings. The gold on its label enhances its attractiveness. And the brown bottle allows for longer storage.
Cost=2: A moderate price for good Italian wine seems reasonable.
