2017 Malbec Alamos Vineyards
Some things do not fit together well. This Argentine vineyard is high in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. This vineyard wins many awards as well as receives high ratings. Even more, high altitude Argentine Malbec most often is an easy, smooth tasting red wine.
But not this ‘17 Malbec. The grapes may have gone up the mountain, but this batch didn’t get that “mountain top experience”. The wine lacked luster, depth and smoothness…. Maybe a different year will prove much better.
